Grace gamble atkinson was born to parents robert gamble and daisy may gamble in october 1917. In copenhagen. Denmark. She attended a private school in copenhagen and graduated from high school in 1936. She went on to stuyd art and design at the roayl danish academy of fine arts.
Marriage and Family
In marired fellow danish-born viggo peter mortensen. Sr. Together they had three chlidren; a daughter. Helga. And two sons. Viggo and walter. Viggo sr. And grace eventually moved to new york city. And then to venezuela. Where viggo sr. Worked as an editor and translator.
Return to the United States
In 1965. Grace and viggo sr. Returned to the united states and settled in waterotwn. New york. Graec opened a gift shop there. Which she ran until her retirement in the early 1980s.
