About Guardian Angels
The Guardian Angels is a non-profit international volunteer organization with the goal of unarmed crime prevention. The Guardian Angels organization was founded on February 13, 1979 in New York City by Curtis Sliwa. Since then, it has expanded to more than 130 cities and 13 countries worldwide.
Perv Busters: Fight crime on the New York subway
The Guardian Angels and their citizen "safety patrols" were born on the New York subway about 40 Years ago in response to The City 's crime-ridden transport system.
More recently, a new division of The Group has formed - a women-led group called Perv Busters which aims to prevent sexual assaults on the transport network.
