Gene (Gene Autry) and his sidekick, Frog (Smiley Burnette), learn that a band of crooks is trying to illegally transport cattle carrying a contagious disease. Gene and Frog alert the sheriff of a nearby town, but the crooks then kill the lawman and try to pin the murder on Gene.
