Brexit: Boris Johnson, attacked by Luxembourg PM over 'nightmare'
Luxembourg PM Boris Johnson has attacked the approach of the Brexit, called The Situation a "nightmare".
Xavier Bettel said The British government had failed to put any serious proposals for a new offer.
But Mr Johnson, who pulled out of a joint press conference with Mr charm because of the loud protesters, said it was still a good chance of a deal.
A government source said The Gap in the UK and Brussels is needed to reach the bridge, a deal remains "quite large".
Mr. Johnson was away on business in Luxembourg for talks with the President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker and the EU chief Brexit negotiation the leader, Michel Barnier , as well as Mr charm.
After the lunch with Mr Juncker and Mr Barnier, Mr Johnson said he was encouraged by the willingness of the EU to avoid with the United Kingdom in their common desire, a no-deal finish - But it was not a "total breakthrough".
the European Commission , However, said the PM still to present concrete proposals for it to take into account, and insisted, that no new plans were only "compatible" with the existing redemption agreement, which was rejected Three Times by the MPs.
the confusion was to the Lord, begging for a press conference without Mr. Johnson in the midst of the noisy protests of anti-British EU-Exit of the protesters.
Mr Bettel, addressed the media on its own after the UK PM is pulled, said his counterpart, "The Future holds for all of the citizens of the United Kingdom in his hands," and suggested that it was breaking its responsibility to the standstill in The Process .
standing next to an empty lectern, Mr Bettel warned Mr Johnson, "you can't win and hold The Future hostage to the political parties".
He said there were "no specific proposals currently on the table," on a new Brexit offer from the United Kingdom and said that the EU "needs More Than just words".
"We need to ticking of the written proposals and the time, to speak so listen up and act," he said.
The existing repurchase agreement was the "only solution," he added.
Mr Johnson said his joint press conference was cancelled, about the fears of the two leading would have been Drowned Out by the pro-EU protesters.
It is understood that his request be kept for you inside it was rejected.
What, exactly, are we to make of the Oh-so-public vent on Monday by the Prime Minister of Luxembourg, after his meeting with Boris Johnson ?
this means that the EU has lost patience and is no longer in the negotiations with the Johnson administration? Can we expect Angela Merkel rant or a Mark Rutte next rave?
Quite the contrary.
"as long as there is a chance to engage in a business, it is in Our Own interest to. However, frustrating the negotiations," a senior EU contact told me.
The EU, Leakage co-ordinator, Guy Verhofstadt , tweeted a photo of the empty podium where Mr Johnson was due to speak next to Mr Bettel with the caption: "From the Incredible Hulk to the incredible sulk".
Over the weekend, Mr Johnson told a newspaper that Britain would Break Out of his "earned", like the Comic book character The Incredible Hulk - with or without a deal.
'New relationship'After the lunch with Mr Juncker, Mr Johnson told the BBC political editor, he was "cautiously optimistic" about The State of the negotiations and suggested the EU wanted to bring the two and a half years of arguments about the conditions for the withdrawal of Britain to an end.
"I see no sense whatever in staying in the EU beyond the 31. October and we're going to come out. And this is actually what our friends and partners in the EU would also like to.
"And I think you' ve had the stuff a bellyful of all of this. You know, that you will want to develop a new relationship with the United Kingdom. Are you Fed Up with these endless negotiations, endless delays. "
While he was working "very hard" to the point, Mr Johnson said there would be no contract unless the EU is shifting its position on the backstop, the insurance, the maintenance of an open border on The Island of Ireland, unless, and until another solution is found.
"If we don't get the movement of them, the crucial question. we will not be able to make it through The House of Commons, no way. "
He said there were A Number of ideas discussed, which would allow you to leave the whole of the United Kingdom, the EU, while protecting the integrity of The Bloc 's internal market, the compliance with the Good Friday agreement and the support of the Irish economy.
'Load of claptrap'This, he said, included the use of technology to minimise border controls, as well as the so-called Stormont-lock to be a mechanism for Northern Irish politicians to have a say about The Rules which apply to Northern Ireland .
"It is all feasible with power and prosperity," he insisted.
A UK government source later said: "It is not clear that Brussels is prepared to make the compromises, which remains necessary for a quote, so no deal remains a real Possibility , as The Gap that we must bridge, is very large. "
as soon as we arrived in The Office of the Prime Minister of Luxembourg, it was obviously a planned outdoor press conference could not go further.
The anti-British EU-Exit , the protesters on The Square numbered less than 100, But their music and megaphone, it sounded like a lot more and they occasionally used language that you would not want to hear about in the news.
Behind the scenes of the UK and Luxembourg delegations fought with a diplomatic dilemma: Move The Event Insider close But the majority of the journalists? Gambling that the protesters could pipe down for a bit? The silence of The Host to save a guest's blushes?
The result of Mr. Johnson saw a brief interview at the residence of The Ambassador , with each shared, while Mr Bettel took to the stage next to an empty podium.
He seized the moment in the ramp to provide light, a passionate speech, all the more dramatic by the fact that he is famous as one of the EU-the most smiley, mild-mannered leader.
Mr Johnson said he would have like the Halloween meet Brexit period, what also always come to the fact that the United Kingdom would be "in very good shape," whether it is a deal or not.
But it came across, how he would get around The Law , which him for an extension to ask, if there is no deal by 19. To explain October, the watch, as it would be possible.
Before Tuesday, the Supreme court, whether the agreement of Parliament was lawful, Mr Johnson defended the decision to suspend Parliament.
Parliament was prorogued last week, before the Queen's speech on 14. October. Legal challenges to the decision can be appealed in the courts by opposition members and activists.
Mr Johnson described, claimed that the Parliament "will be deprived of the opportunity to check Brexit" as "all this hocus-pocus" and a "load of claptrap".
"I think people think that we have to Escape somehow stopped the Parliament from researchers.
"which is absolute nonsense. The Parliament will be able to verify The Deal , I hope we will be able to do, both before and after the European Council on 17. October. "
