About Hanamaki
Hanamaki is a city on the north end of Japan's main Honshu Island. It's known for the many natural hot springs of the Hanamaki-onsen area. Kenji Miyazawa Fairy Tales Park brings to life the stories of Hanamaki native, and author, Kenji Miyazawa with interactive exhibits. Narushima Bishamondō temple is home to a huge wooden statue of the war god Bishamonten. The towering peak of Mount Hayachine rises to the northeast.
