Hans Vermeer Life story
Prof. Dr. h. c. Hans Josef Vermeer, was a German linguist and translation scholar. Vermeer was Professor of Linguistics at the University of Mainz in Germersheim and held a chair in Translation Studies at Heidelberg University.
