Helena Normanton Life story
Helena Florence Normanton, KC was the first woman to take advantage of the Sex Disqualification Act 1919 and join an institution of the legal profession. In November 1922, she was the second woman to be called to the Bar of England and Wales, following the example set by Ivy Williams in May 1922.
