Hemojuvelin, also known as repulsive guidance molecule C or hemochromatosis type 2 protein, is a membrane-bound and soluble protein in mammals that is responsible for the iron overload condition known as juvenile hemochromatosis in humans, a severe form of hemochromatosis.
