About Hold That Co-ed
Slick Southern governor Gabby Harrigan (John Barrymore) realizes that the voters' moods are directly related to the record of his state's college football team, so he dips into government funds to bulk up the school's athletic roster. Coach Stevens (George Murphy) makes the most of the resources he has, resulting in a team that features former professional wrestlers and an ace female kicker (Joan Davis), but things go awry when the governor's shenanigans are revealed on the eve of the big game.
