About Home At Seven
Meek and mild-mannered bank clerk David Preston (Ralph Richardson) returns home after work one evening to find his wife, Janet (Margaret Leighton), distraught, as he had been missing for more than 24 hours. David recalls nothing from the period, and when the news reports that a steward at his club had been murdered in that time, he hurries to visit his friend, Dr. Sparling (Jack Hawkins). There he confesses his growing fear that he was responsible for the crime, as he hated the murdered man.
