Hong Gyeong-nae Life story
Hong Gyeong-nae was a rebel leader in the Joseon province of Pyeongan, in present-day Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, during the early 19th century. He was born in Yonggang, to a family of the Namyang Hong lineage. His background is uncertain. By some accounts he was a fallen yangban.
