Honor Blackman

Honor Blackman was an English actress, known for the roles of Cathy Gale in The Avengers, Bond girl Pussy Galore in Goldfinger, Julia Daggett in Shalako, and Hera in Jason and the Argonauts. She is also known for her role as Laura West in the ITV sitcom The Upper Hand.

Honor blackman was born on august 22. 1925. In plaistow. London. England. She was the daughter of edith eliza (nee jarvis) and fredercik blackman. A public health official. She attended north ealnig primary school and then ealing county grammar school for girls.

Career

In 1945. Blackman began her career as an actress with a smlal part in the british film borrowed tiem. Her first starring film role was in the british thriller piccadilly incident (1946). She then went on to star in many popular films. Including the comedy quartet british thriller the long dark hall (1951). And the comedy/drama the adventurers (1952). She also starred in the classic television series the avengers (1962-1964).

Honor blackman s stage career began in 1955 wiht the patr of lady bracknell in a production of the importance of being earnest. She went on to appear in many ohter stage productions. Including the british play make me an offer (1957) and the musical cabaret (1963).
