Hore Browse Trist Life story
Hore Browse Trist (1802–1856) was the second son of Mary Louisa Brown and Hore Browse Trist, and was known as "Browse" to his family. He was born in Virginia on March 19, 1802. That same year, his father was appointed by Thomas Jefferson to the post of customs collector in Natchez, Louisiana Territory.
