The House of Al Said is the ruling royal house of the Sultanate of Oman, and former ruling royal house of the Sultanate of Muscat and Zanzibar and the Sultanate of Zanzibar. The tribe of Al Said traces its roots to a band of Al Azd through a patrilineal ancestor, al-'Atik b. al-Asad b.
