Ichabod Washburn was a church deacon and industrialist from Worcester County, Massachusetts, United States. His financial endowments led to the naming of Washburn College, now Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas and the foundation of Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, Massachusetts.
