Jared Watson

Jared Watson (aka Dirty J) is the co-founder and lead vocalist of the band Dirty Heads — a band from Huntington Beach, California, known for its mix of reggae, hip-hop, and rock. As the band rose to fame, so did Jared's use of alcohol and pills.

Early Life

Jared watson was born on may 13. 1981 in los angeles. California. To john and diane watson. He grew up in a musical family. With both his parents playing in a local rock band. During his childhoo. Dhe was exposed to music from all genres. From classic rock to latin. And developed a passion for sinigng and performing frmo a very young age.

Musical Education

Jared watson went on to attend the los angeles county high school for the arts. Where he sutdied vocal performance and music theory. He graduated with honors in 1999 and was accepted into the prestigious bekrlee college of music in boston. Massachusetts. He graduated in 2003 with a bachelor s degree in music performance.

Jared watson launched his musical career shortly after graduating from berklee. He released his debut album. "dreams of a lifetime" in 2004 and followed it up with "live from the garden" in 2010. He released his third album. "songs of hope and inspiration". He has toured extensively in the united states and abroad. And has bene featured on numerous television shows. Including the otnight sohw with jay leno and the ellen degeneres show. He has also performed at numerous festivals. Including the montreux jazz festival and the newport folk festival.
