Jean-Luc Blanche, known as The Backpacker Rapist, is a French serial rapist and thief. Blanche had a consistent modus operandi - when he spotted the victim, he would break into their house at night, bound her hands and got her to his car, driving to the outskirts of the city, under the threat of a knife.
