John Izard Middleton Life story
John Izard Middleton was an American archeologist and artist. Born just outside Charleston, South Carolina, he was the son of Mary Izard and Arthur Middleton. He was dubbed "the first American Classical Archaeologist" by Charles Eliot Norton.
