British until 2020: Dave wins and calls PM 'racist'
London-rapper Dave won album of the year at the British shortly after the call by the Prime Minister a "racist".
The Star took home The Night , the most important award for his provocative, personal album Psychodrama, which also won last year's Mercury Prize .
But it was his fiery performance of the single Black who stole The Show .
In a newly written verse, he called the government's response to Grenfell and said: "The Truth is, our Prime Minister is a real racist".
He also attacked tabloid coverage of The Duchess of Sussex, and made a reference to London Bridge terror-attack victim to Jack Merritt.
Two years after Stormzy asked: "where is The Money for Grenfell?" on the British stage, Dave updated the lyrics to say: "Grenfell victims in need of accommodation".
"And we still need support for the Windrush Generation / reparation for the time our people were on the plantations," he adds.
The texts were added, as a last verse to Black, the discussions on perceptions and experiences of the black population in the UK.
The 21-year-old is only the Second Act to win best album of the Brits and the Mercury Prize is now, for the same data set. The First is the Arctic Monkeys for their debut, whatever people Say I Am , That is Not What I Am .

"contrary to the popular opinion, [many] people think this song is about my ex-girlfriend, and now you can see every night on Love Island ," said The Star , "but actually it's my grandmother unfortunately passed away a few years ago.
