Johnny Standley was an American musician, actor, and comedian from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States, who later lived in Oklahoma City. Standley wrote and recorded "It's in the Book", a number one single on the Billboard Charts in 1952. The comedy recording sold over two million copies and received a gold record.
