José María Santocildes Life story
José María Francisco Silvestre Santocildes y de Llanos was a famous Spanish noble, field marshal and general during the Peninsular War. Santocildes was born in Barcelona. He commanded in the defense of Astorga, Spain when it was besieged by French Napoleonic troops in 1810.
