Joseph Barrow Montefiore Life story
Joseph Barrow Montefiore, merchant and financier, was the youngest son of Eliezer Montefiore, merchant, of Barbados and London, and his wife, Judith. Montefiore was born on 24 June 1803 in London and was educated there. He married Rebecca Mocatta, and the couple had children.
