Josué de Castro, born Josué Apolônio de Castro, was a Brazilian physician, nutritionist, geographer, writer, public administrator, and activist against world hunger. His book Geopolitics of Hunger was granted The Franklin D. Roosevelt Foundation Award, in 1952.
