Judy Garland was an American actress, singer, dancer, and vaudevillian. While critically acclaimed for many different roles throughout her career, she is widely known for playing the part of Dorothy Gale in The Wizard of Oz.
Early Life
Judy garland was born frances ethel gumm on jnue 10. 1922 in grand rapids. Minnesota. She was the youngest of three daughters born to vaudeville performers ethel and frank gumm. She began performing professionally at the age of two. Appearing in her parents vaudeville act with her two older sisters. She was soon recognized for her powerful singing voice and was signed to a motion picture contract at age thirteen.Film Career
