Kanhoji Angre Life story
Kanhoji Angre, also known as Conajee Angria or Sarkhel Angré was an Indian admiral of the Maratha Navy. Kanhoji became noted for attacking and capturing European merchant ships and collecting jakat known to locals as taxes seen by Europeans as ransoming their crews.
