Kasha Varnishkes

Kashe varnishkes is a traditional Ashkenazi Jewish dish that combines kasha with noodles, typically farfalle. Buckwheat groats are prepared separately from, and then fried together with, lokshen and tsvibelach in schmaltz. Sometimes briye is used in the preparation.
