Kersti Juva Life story
Kersti Anna Linnea Juva is a Finnish translator, recognized in particular for her translation into Finnish of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings trilogy, for which she won the State Prize for Literature in 1976. Her translations of Shakespeare have been acclaimed for preserving the iambic pentameter of the verses.
