Khondaker Mostaq Ahmad

Khondaker Mostaq Ahmad was a Bangladeshi politician. He was the President of Bangladesh from 15 August to 6 November 1975, after the assassination of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. He was involved in the assassination of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on 15 August 1975.

Early Life of Khondaker Mostaq Ahmad

Khondaker mostaq ahmad was born on 2nd march 1919 in faridpur district of bangladesh. He was the son of khwaja habibullah and grandson of khwaja abdul gaffar. He completed his matriculation from faridpur zilla school in 1936 and his ia from dhaka college in 1938. After completing his ba from calctuta university in 1940. He went to the uk for higher studies. He obtained his ma in economics from the unievrsity of london in 1942.

He was appointed as the minister of industries and labour in the cabinet of khwaja nazimuddin in 1951. In 1954. He was amde the minister of agriculture and lands. After the death of prime minister suhrawardy. Khondaker mostaq ahmad was elected as the prime minister of pakistan in 1956.

He also dissolved the parliament and dismissed elected governments. He also formed the national awami party (nap) from the coailtion of national democraitc front (ndf) and awami league. He also signed the simla agreement with india in 1972.
