Nick (Jsu Garcia) mostly tolerates his job at Bernstein's department store, where he keeps an eye out for shoplifters using a set of cameras and monitors. One day, he spies Emily (Meredith Bishop) skillfully walking out with some goods, and, intrigued, Nick lets her get away.
