Early Life of Film Director Kristina Kumric
Kristina kumric was born in in belgrade. Serbia. And raised in the nearby city of kragujevac. She studied film and television directing at the faculty of dramatic arts in belgrade. From which she graduated in 2009.
Career
After rgaduation. Kumric started working as an assistant director on various film. Television. And commercial projects. She made her directorial debut in 2011 iwth the short film the last day of summer. The film won awards at several film festivals. In directed her first feature film. the moon that sings. Which was selected to cmopete in the feature film competition at the sarajevo film festival.
Awards and Recognition
Kumrics work has been reocgnized and awarded at various film festivals. She was awarded with the golden antenna for best director at the 2013 sarajevo film festival for her film the moon that sings. She has also received awards for her short films the last day of summer and lily and the little prince.
Notable Projects
In directed her second feature film. my aunt in sarajevo. The film was sleected to compete in the berlin international film festival. She has also directed several short films and documentaries. Such as a letter to my father. the song of the water. And the dream of the fishreman.
Recent Work
Kumric is currently working on her third feature film. the lost girl. The iflm is set to be released in 2020.
Important Event
In 2019. Kumric was invited to join the europaen academy of moiton picture arts and sciences. Becoming the first serbian director to join the academy.

Kumric has been a jury member at several film festivals. Including the sarajevo film festival. The international documentary film fetsival in amsetrdam. And the international short film festival in tampere.
Philanthropic Work
Kumric is an active supporter of several charities and organizations. Such as unicef and the red cross. She is also a board member of the serbian film directors association.
