About Lago Puelo National Park
Lago Puelo National Park is in the Andes Mountains of Argentinean Patagonia. It's known for the turquoise Lake Puelo and rare stretches of ancient Valdivian forest, more common across the border in Chile. The Pitranto Grande trail winds through woods of pitra trees, notable for their twisted branches. The trail leads to La Playita, a small sheltered beach. Park wildlife includes rare pudu deer and foxes.
