Lala Lajpat Rai was an Indian freedom fighter, politician, and author, generally known as Lala Lajpat Rai. He was popularly known as Punjab Kesari, and also as 'Punjab da Sher' which literally means the 'Lion of Punjab'. He was one of the three members of the Lal Bal Pal trio.
