About Lambayeque
Lambayeque is a region in northwest Peru known for desert landscapes, dry forests and Pacific beaches such as Pimentel. Outside the city of Chiclayo, the Huaca Rajada archaeological site holds the unearthed tomb of the Lord of Sipán, a former ruler of the ancient Moche culture. In Lambayeque city, the Museo Tumbas Reales de Sipán houses discoveries from the tomb, like jewelry, ceramics and skeletal remains.
