About Lin Shuangwen Rebellion

The Lin Shuangwen rebellion occurred in 1787–1788. In 1786, the Qing-appointed Governor of Taiwan, Sun Jingsui, discovered and suppressed the anti-Qing Tiandihui. The Tiandihui members gathered Ming loyalists, and their leader Lin Shuangwen proclaimed himself king.
