Fawlty Towers: The Germans episode away from UKTV about 'racist'
John Cleese , who has Basil plays Fawlty, said the movement is "stupid"
An episode of the sitcom Fawlty Towers was removed UKTV, a streaming service, because it is "racist".
The Bbc -owned platform, it said had not made The Germans, while they carry out an assessment.

"The episode contains racist insults so we take the episode down, while we can check it. We regularly review older content to ensure it meets the audience and especially the effects of aware of the outdated language.
"Some shows wear, alerts and others to be edited. We want to take The Time to consider our options for this episode. "
The Bbc , the commercial arm of The Bbc -Studios, took over many of the UKTV channels and their digital players in the past year.
The German is still available to view on the Britbox, which is part owned by The Bbc , with a message saying it "contains some offensive racial language of The Time and upsetting scenes". It is also on Netflix with A Warning about "language, [and] discrimination".
