About Long Gone
Despite spotty attendance and an unimpressive roster, player-manager "Stud" Cantrell (William Petersen) is determined to lead his Tampico Stogies to baseball glory. Aiding him are infielder Jamie Weeks (Dermot Mulroney) and catcher Joe Louis Brown (Larry Riley), an African-American player who gets an earful from racist fans.
