Manikkavacakar Life story
Manikkavacakar, or Maanikkavaasagar, was a 9th-century Tamil saint and poet who wrote Tiruvasakam, a book of Shaiva hymns. Speculated to have been a minister to the Pandya king Varagunavarman II, he lived in Madurai.
