Mary Georgina Newton Life story
Mary Georgina Newton was born in New Zealand in 1876. She was the daughter of Arthur and Mary deRenzy Newton. Mary married Ernest Rutherford in 1900 in New Zealand. They moved to Montreal, Canada, where Ernest was professor at McGill University. There they had a daughter Eileen Mary (1901–1930).
