Mary Hill Throsby Life story

Biography. Mary Hill Throsby was born in 1838 at Throsby Park, Moss Vale, New South Wales, Australia. She was the eighth of seventeen children but third daughter of Southern Highland pioneers, Charles Throsby and Betsy Broughton. Charles had inherited the 1,000-acre Throsby Park in 1828 from his namesake uncle.
