Mason Wardell Life story
Mason Wardell was born in Virginia, and he was elected Commonwealth's Attorney as a Democrat. During Prohibition, he cracked down on the illegal moonshining business in the state, travelling to Franklin County in 1931 to help special deputy and US Marshal Charley Rakes extort the local bootleggers.
