About Matinicus Rock Lighthouse
Matinicus Rock Light, is a lighthouse in on Matinicus Rock, a windswept rock 25 miles off the coast of Maine. It is one of eleven seacoast lights off the coast of Maine. First established in 1827, the present surviving structures date to 1857.
