Fleeing bullies in a small Quebec village, 11-year-old Olivier (Émile Proulx-Cloutier) runs into the ghost of pirate Philippe de Beauchesne (Marc Labrèche). Beauchesne asks the boy to help him deliver an important document to his uncle, so Olivier joins the odd man, but the time-traveling task isn't easy; evil El Diablo (Raymond Cloutier), who leads a band of pirates, is after them, and eventually takes Olivier captive.
