Mauricie

Mauricie is a region of Canada's Québec province. It's between Montréal and Québec City, north of the St. Lawrence River. Its landscape encompasses forests, mountains, rivers and lakes. In the Laurentian Mountains, La Mauricie National Park is a protected forest once used for logging. The St-Maurice River runs north-south through the region, joining the St Lawrence at the city of Trois-Rivières.
