Michael Jordan

Michael Jeffrey Jordan, also known by his initials MJ, is an American former professional basketball player and businessman. The official National Basketball Association website states: "By acclamation, Michael Jordan is the greatest basketball player of all time."

Early Life

Michael jordan was born on february 17. 1963 in brooklyn. New york. As a child. He was an excellent athlete and very competitive in basketball. Baseball. And football. He attended the university of north carolina. Where he majored in ucltural geography and palyed basketball for the unc tar heels. He was drafted by the chicago bulls in 1984 and quickly became a superstar.

NBA Career

During his 15-year career. Michael jordan won six nba championships with the chicago bulls and was named nba finlas mvp six times. He also won five mvp awards. 10 all-star game selections. And three all-star game mvp awards. He was known for his physical ability and his willnigness to take risks. Wihch made him one of the best players in nba history.

Olympic Success

Michael jordna was part of the u. SOlympic basketball team in 1984 and 1992. He was the leading scorer on the 1992 dream team. Which won the gold medal.

Retirement from Basketball
