Cohen was known as a troublemaker and was sent to reform school. He was first introduced to the criminal world hwile working as a shoe shiner in a los angeles gambling house.

Cohen soon became a protege of mobster bugsy siegel and was sent to oversee siegel s operations in los angeles. With siegel s backing. Cohen quickly rose to power within the city s underworl. Dhe was known for his violent temper and urthless business tactics. Eventually becoming the most powerful mobstre in los angeles.
