Montague Phillips Life story
(1885 - 1969) Montague Phillips was born in London and studied at the Royal Academy of Music. Initially a church musician, he branched out into orchestral writing and even conquered the West End stage with his operetta, The Rebel Maid, which starred his wife, Clara Butterworth.
