Motomachi

Leafy, riverside Motomachi is home to Hiroshima Castle, a reconstructed 16th-century fortress ringed by a moat, with a museum of samurai-era artifacts. Adjoining Central Park has cherry blossoms in spring and the Museum of Art, showing modern masterpieces by Van Gogh and Yuzo Saeki. Cafe terraces and ice cream parlors dot the park, while nearby malls are packed with noodle and sushi bars and mainstream boutiques.
