Mount Takahe is a snow-covered shield volcano that rises 3,460 metres above sea level and stands 200 kilometres away from the Amundsen Sea in Marie Byrd Land, Antarctica. It is circular, about 30 kilometres across, and has a caldera up to 8 km wide.
