About Mount Tendürek
Tendürek is a shield volcano in eastern Turkey. It is situated on the border of Ağrı and Van provinces, near the border with Iran. It is mostly known for being near the believed wreck of Noah's Ark. It is a very large volcano, with its lava flows covering an area of roughly 650 km² across a flat swath of land.
