Al-Tabari Life story
Muhammad ibn Jarir ibn Yazid, better known as al-Tabari and Abu Jafar was an Islamic historian, scholar and commentator of the Qur'an. He belonged to Amol, Tabaristan. He is best known for his expertise in Qur'anic exegesis and Historiography, but he has been described as "an impressively prolific polymath.
